Crude oil supply increased and the price goes up, Go figure. The same with gas not going down when the supply increases!

Demand in the US does not mean much when you have China just waiting to to pounce on any available oil or gas in the world.

Even with speculators, if demand goes down, so will the price to get business at the pump . . . and most importantly at the convience stores next to the pumps where the operators make their biggest profit.

Yes we are still being ripped off at the pumps. Since the storm I have been spending around $80 a day just to power my generator not to mention the gas I have to keep putting in the vehicles as I drive around looking for the damn gas. It's killing our budget just as it is everyone else's. Any drop in gas prices would be great, especially now. I just don't see it coming. To top it all off we will be needing heating oil & that price will high as well.

So we export just about as much as we take in. What is wrong with this logic?

Fundamentals (reality) have little influence on price.

Hence it matters little.

Yawn.
