Banks have seen citizens running to take their money out, unsure of the future. Over 3 billion euros has been withdrawn in the past few days, with 800 million euros being withdrawn in a single day, one of the largest single day pullouts in the country. You might be asking what the heck this has to do with gas prices in the U.S.- I'll get there. You see, the situation in Greece has devalued the euro significantly, driving the dollar higher because of the situation. Since oil is globally traded in dollars, when the dollar outperforms the euro, oil prices tend to fall, and thus gasoline prices drop. When the opposite occurs, oil prices rise, and thus... The oil market is global and what one county does may affect others. A country goes bankrupt, could this same thing happen with 4 more years? Whatever the size or shape of the vehicle, Produce and ‘Drive’ vehicles with high MPG, are very reliable, have a ‘reasonable’ cost and a good ‘value’ for the money. Consider using other forms of less expensive transportation to lower your cost, if possible! The price of fuel at the pump is too high! 12/22/2012!

It is similar to looting. All in takes is for one looter to start things off, then another looter will have more courage to do the same thing, then it cascades as more people decide to do the same thing as it soon becomes "acceptable" or "the norm". Some may even feel angry that people are getting away with the immoral acts and will start doing it themselves (look at all the people underwater with their mortgages but continuing to make their payments and how they feel about neighbors who have walked away and seemed to escape without any repercussions).
