I really good at maintaining a consistent speed (even without cruise control), and I absolutely hate it when people had enough time/space to begin with, but wait until you almost pass their car to make a dangerous lane change in front of you. That's usually the reason I honk. Otherwise, it's to honk at the idiot idled at the green light because he/she is too busy text messaging.
