I wouldn't pay any more unless gasoline would get back down under $1.50.

Better for the environment by who's standards? Some people would make a statement it is better for the environment because they say so. I would need to be convinced it is truly better for the environment, then I would consider potentially paying a increase.

I think it would depend on how much better it was for the environment. If it were twice as good for the environment and only cost a couple of pennies more, I would go for it. If it only was 1% better for the environment and the gas price was 100% more, I am not interested.

Not a cent more. The oil companies can pay for that with their record profits (i.e. Exxon)

"No More" would have to be the answer for now because I really haven't seen any factually proven "environmental improvements" made to gas in my life time. Cat converters had nothing to do with the gas other than requiring the removal of lead additives from gas because they would burn out if leaded gas was used. That actually cost me dearly because my old virgin classic antique GMC truck engine burned up from having to use the minimum low lead gas to well over $4,000+ for an engine overhaul which it didn't need before.

Shouldn't there also be a "decreased" answer for this question. When the lead additive was no longer added, shouldn't the cost of the lead additive have been subtracted from the cost of the gas (reduced of course by the cost of any gas it displaced which would have to be added back) and shouldn't there be a "decreased" answer for this question?

Is there a way for gas to be better for the environment? I think not. I would rather spend more on electricity for my electric car that has ZERO AIR POLLUTION than spend any more at the pump. I'd rather drive right by the gas station!

With current gas prices, 0% more. If prices drop back below $1.50, the I'd be willing to pay as much as 10% extra.

If you have a diesel you don't necessarially have to pay more. Lower your emissions and stop relying on foreign oil by making biodiesel at home. Due to subsidies in many areas you can buy blended biodiesel for the same or less than #2.
