same goes for most other electronics...biggest one most fail to mention is the nice GPS units. They don't stand a chance.

Why on earth would anyone leave a cell phone sitting out in their car, let alone a $600 (unsubsidized) phone? People and pets die in hot cars too, use your head.

This would hold true for most electronics, put on the dash in the sun of a closed up car...most will fry or at least kill the battery.

This is common for electronics. I hope one would not leave their iPhone in the car in direct sunlight.

Pretty much any LCD display dies in a hot car and we have KNOWN about this for .... how many years?
We need smarter people more than we need better electronics right now!!

This makes me believe that the "top talent" left Apple. Where could they be now? Plus the people leaving their gadgets in hot cars are stupid. Good Grief On A Bicycle! Thankfully, this wasn't an article about parents leaving their kids in hot cars.

It's not only iphone, but any of the personal touch screen devices. But I haven't seen any warnings provided with the literature. I also let people know that the opposite is also true. Don't leave these kind of devices in your vehicle in very cold weather.
