Tow hitches are ranked #7? I would have thought this would be much lower for car buyers.

i don't believe any automatic can match the miles per gallon of a standard. I could be wrong; now I hear Lexus and Mercedes have eight speed autos; maybe they lock up in top gear.

I'd like a small refrigerator in the dash for a cold one(pop).

All I want is a center console that my elbow won't hit when I turn corners.

I like all of these features but prefer AWD to full time 4X4.

Built in GPS is great as the screens are larger, can be voice activated and as handheld phones are becoming illegal, small high dash mount GPS can be a bit dangerous.

Cruise, AC, PWs, PDL, ABS and ESCare useful as are Snow Tires up here.

I can understand why someone would want 4WD or AWD on their next ride (I would like full-time traction if it was more sensibly priced), but DVD screens in each headrest and panoramic glass moonroofs are overkill. Wouldn't the headrests pose a hazard to back-seat passengers in a crash? Seems to me all that glass would compromise the rollover and crush safety of the roof (not to mention defeat all those side-curtain air bags?)

People like to have choice, some of the features I have and feel are important. Others I feel are not useful but that is just my opinion. Some depend on where you live as to their usefulness.

I don't "have" to have any of these, but some of them are very nice features to have. I like having an automatic transmission, cruise control, gps, and leather seats - which I currently have or own.

I'm not putting on makeup, eating, or doing other things that are impairing my driving.

I'm not very good with a manual transmission, and I certainly don't want one in heavy city traffic. I also have a back injury, so dealing with a clutch would not be very good for me.

Cruise control is nice on long drives. With my back injury, it's nice not to always have my foot on the gas pedal.

GPS - not integrated into my vehicle, but I have a portable one. It's enabled me to be more comfortable traveling in downtown Houston. Mine also has a pedestrian feature. Sometimes when I'm traveling at night, I have gotten turned around and don't recognize landmarks. My Garmin has helped me a lot.

Leather seats - I put a towel on the seat in the summer. I love the fact you can wipe them down, and they clean up like a dream.

Automatic trans, sunroof and leather seats are common to both cars and trucks. The other options may depend on the vehicle. Purchases could care less about a trailer hitch on my Fusion. No way I can squeeze in a 3rd row seat. Most of my friends would rather have a Garmin or Tom Tom GPS since its a lot cheaper and they can take it with them. Satellite radio and Sync seem to be the options that are gaining the most interest now.
