Dailymail -- They used to call it ‘Flaming June’. Nearer the mark today would be ‘Flaming ruddy awful June’.

We are on the cusp of the Summer Solstice (starting on Wednesday evening), in the wake of the wettest April on record and in the midst of what promises to be a June that is both record-breakingly damp and 1.4C cooler than average.

In the eternally moving battlefield of claim and counter-claim in the great climate change debate, even the fervently warmist Professor Phil Jones – of the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit – concedes that there has been no ‘statistically significant warming’ since 1995.

(Hint: there's more than just a few) So,... you were saying...? Really? But the issue is, has been, and will continue to be - what is casing the current unprecedented rapid increase in mean Global temperature. The weather in the United Kingdom (England) has been reflective of the entire planet? Really? This is yet another example of how most fail to understand the difference between "weather" and "climate". Better yet, funny how the anti-AGW crowd holds-on religiously to the "the weather has always been cyclical..."statements, yet are the first to proclaim that the short-term cycles are yet further examples that Global Warming does not exist... ... when such statements benefit their position. Look at any long-term database record for temperature, and you will see repeated "cycling" of short-term temperatures within the long-term trend of increasing global mean temperature. Furthermore, look at the last 100 years of temperature data relative to 1998 - without the extremely large spike that occurred in 1998 - and mean global temperature has continued to increase. Hence why the anti-AGW crowd continues to focus on this one-year - 1998 - in contrast to the several hundreds years of most recent climate data. That folks, is "cherry-picking" at its finest. News Flash for the stupid - if 1998 was the warmest year on record - all the following years have obviously been "cooler". The issue is long-term trends, yet they continue to focus on this one year. Within the context of the longer-term Global temperature patterns, mean Global temperature continues to rise. And the top-10 warmest years on record have all occurred within the last 20 years. Oh, and let's not forget, that: 1) USA had warmest March-May on record 2) Warmest spring heats up economy "...
