Amazing...
You've become so lost in trying to cover your prior comments, you're literally talking in circles again...

martinman "And sure the climate has seen "increasing temps" for the last 25,000 years - if you make unqualifying generalizations..." ==================================== LOL, sometimes folks should just sit back and really HEAR themselves! :-)
What "unqualifying generalizations"? The statement is an absolute! Wow, ideology trumps common sense again! But thanks for the amusement!

The instrumental weather data clearly show a warming trend beginning in 1910:
150 Year Instrumental Record
Global Land-Ocean Temperature Record
And sure the climate has seen "increasing temps" for the last 25,000 years - if you make unqualifying generalizations, but the truth is:
Major Global Temperature 'swings' from 2500 B.C.
(Hint: there's more than just a few)
So,... you were saying...?
Really?
But the issue is, has been, and will continue to be - *what* is casing the *current* unprecedented rapid increase in mean Global temperature. You can continue to try to cloud the issue with irrelevent data, but the issue remains what is causing the current trend...

Martinman says- "News Flash for the stupid - if 1998 was the warmest year on record - all the following years have obviously been "cooler". The issue is long-term trends, yet they continue to focus on this one year. Within the context of the longer-term Global temperature patterns, mean Global temperature continues to rise. And the top-10 warmest years on record have all occurred within the last 20 years."
=====================================================
And here's a news flash for the double stupid - the climate (not weather) has seen increasing temps for about the last TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND YEARS. These idiots that think man is causing any of this change have NOTHING but an agenda to pursue. Glaciers as a whole have been retreating for that time period and every bit of other "data" these Eco-Imperialists have been throwing out there are lies intended for one thing and one thing only, POWER, WEALTH and REDISTRIBUTION of wealth.

Really?
The weather in the United Kingdom (England) has been reflective of the entire planet?
Really?
This is yet another example of how most fail to understand the difference between "weather" and "climate".
Better yet, funny how the anti-AGW crowd holds-on religiously to the "the weather has always been cyclical..."statements, yet are the first to proclaim that the short-term cycles are yet further examples that Global Warming does not exist...
... when such statements benefit their position.
Look at any long-term database record for temperature, and you will see repeated "cycling" of short-term temperatures within the long-term trend of increasing global mean temperature.
Furthermore, look at the last 100 years of temperature data relative to 1998 - without the extremely large spike that occurred in 1998 - and mean global temperature *has* continued to increase. Hence why the anti-AGW crowd continues to focus on this one-year - 1998 - in contrast to the several hundreds years of most recent climate data.
That folks, is "cherry-picking" at its finest.
News Flash for the stupid - if 1998 was the warmest year on record - all the following years have obviously been "cooler". The issue is long-term trends, yet they continue to focus on this one year. Within the context of the longer-term Global temperature patterns, mean Global temperature continues to rise. And the top-10 warmest years on record have all occurred within the last 20 years.
Oh, and let's not forget, that:
1) USA had warmest March-May on record
2) Warmest spring heats up economy
"... The spring season's nationally averaged temperature was 57.1 degrees, 5.2 degrees above the long-term average, and surpassing the previous warmest spring (1910) by 2 degrees...."
The weather pattern for the United States, is obviously on a much larger spatial-scale, than the weather pattern for the United Kingdom.

"The evidence for man-made global warming is looking shakier by the day, Germany’s answer to Jonathon Porritt or George Monbiot admitted. Far more likely a culprit is the sun."
Oh, THERE'S the culprit! Let's just get rid of the sun!!!

How does this information contained in this article factually and directly relate to the lowering of the price of gasoline at the pumps?

1998 to present isn't even a blip as far as the planet is concerned. You need a longer attention span.

It is amazing how much material is out there on this subject, and every time I hear someone talk about global warming, I mention this evidence, and these people are completely unaware of no warming since 1995.
